Liverpool fans have been reacting online after news emerged suggesting that Daniel Sturridge had suffered a fresh injury setback.

Sturridge has only recently returned to action after several weeks on the sidelines with a knee injury and marked his comeback with a bang having scored twice during a 6-1 win over Southampton last week.

However, Liverpool fans are now holding their breath with the Express one of several media outlets who’re reporting the news that emerged online earlier this evening that claimed Sturridge is facing another spell out after supposedly suffering yet another injury setback.

The claim is that the striker has injured his hamstring which, if true, would likely rule him out for at least three weeks meaning he’d miss Liverpool’s festive fixtures.

At this time it’s still just a rumour and nothing official has come out from Liverpool at yet, but it would be a huge blow if Sturridge was facing another spell on the treatment table.
