Arsenal booked their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League thanks to a stunning 3-0 victory over Olympiacos in Greece tonight.
Olivier Giroud was the hero as the Frenchman scored a hat-trick to secure the win that sees us leapfrog Olympiacos in to second spot in the Group F table.
Here are my ratings from the game:
Cech 7/10 | A surprisingly quiet night for the Czech star but he made a few routine saves and one fine stop to keep it at 2-0.
Bellerin 7/10 | Always a threat down the right side but kept things tight at the back too.
Mertesacker 8/10 | A big performance from the giant German. After a rocky start, he led the team to a crucial clean sheet.
Koscielny 8.5/10 | Excellent display. Put his head on everything and dealt with the hosts when they broke.
Monreal 7/10 | Solid as ever. Won the penalty for the crucial second goal.
Ramsey 7/10 | Another high energy display and he got the assist for Giroud’s opening goal with a superb cross.
Flamini 7/10 | Went about his business efficiently in midfield. Also hit the bar early on.
Ozil 8/10 | Another master-class from Mesut. His pin-point ball released Ramsey to set-up the opening goal.
Walcott 6.5/10 | Still lacking match fitness but he was always a threat in behind. Missed a decent chance to get on the score-sheet in the second half.
Campbell 8/10 | Excellent overall performance. Worked tirelessly down the wing and set-up Giroud for his second with a stunning pass.
Giroud 9.5/10 | Outstanding. Scored two fine goals before sealing his first ever Arsenal hat-trick with a cool penalty. What a time to do it.
