Wenger Makes 1 Change: Predicted Arsenal Starting XI To Face Man City
Arsenal will look to give their title push a boost when they take on Man City tomorrow night. Here is the side we think Arsene Wenger will select for the game:
Arsenal will look to close in on Leicester at the top of the Premier League table when they take on Manchester City at the Emirates tomorrow night. Here is the side Gooner Mac thinks Arsene Wenger will select for the game:
Goalkeeper: Petr Cech is a certainty to keep his place in goal with David Ospina acting as back-up on the bench.
Defence: We have no fresh injury concerns for the game after all the players came through the win over Aston Villa last week unscathed. Therefore, I think we’ll see the boss stick with his preferred back four of Hector Bellerin, Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker and Nacho Monreal.
Midfield: Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin and Mikel Arteta all remain on the sidelines while Jack Wilshere is still working his way back to full fitness following a fibula injury so we don’t have too many options in midfield.
Mathieu Flamini has been deputising in recent games and has performed well-enough so I think we’ll see the Frenchman start alongside Aaron Ramsey again tomorrow night.
Attack: Alexis Sanchez returned to training last week and it looks like the Chilean international is going to be back in contention having recovered from a hamstring injury. He’ll be desperate to start and I don’t think Arsene will be able to resist to play him from the start against City.
Theo Walcott has made a successful return to the first team in recent games so he should keep his place alongside Mesut Ozil which means Joel Campbell is the man likely to make way for Sanchez.
Olivier Giroud should be full of confidence after netting four goals in his last two games so the Frenchman should once again lead the line up front.
Here is how I think we’ll see Arsenal line-up:
What do you think? What line-up would you like to see start?
