Watch Martin Skrtel go nuts in the stands as Liverpool booked their place at Wembley last night plus all the reaction from the players online.
The Liverpool players have been celebrating after they booked their place in the Capital One Cup final with a penalty shoot-out victory over Stoke City at Anfield last night.
The Reds held a one-goal lead heading in to the second leg after winning at the Britannia Stadium three weeks ago but that advantage was wiped out as Marko Arnautovic made it 1-1 on aggregate just before half time.
Neither side could find a winning goal after extra-time so it went to penalties and Joe Allen scored the decisive spot kick for Liverpool after Simon Mignolet had saved Marc Muniesa’s effort.
Martin Skrtel missed the game as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury but the centre-back was captured by a fan celebrating widely in the stands after Liverpool had secured their place at Wembley next month. You can watch the Slovakian’s celebrations below.
Some of the Liverpool players have also been reacting on social media with the likes of Dejan Lovren, Alberto Moreno, Mamadou Sakho and Danny Ings all posting messages on Twitter, while Mignolet uploaded a post to Instagram.
