Photos claiming to be of Arsenal’s new 2016/17 home shirt have been ‘leaked’ on Twitter today.
It’s usually around January-February time that we start to see images being leaked online as we gear up for the launch of the official club kits.
And today it was the turn of Arsenal as a couple of snaps emerged on Twitter claiming to be of our 2016/17 home shirt.
As you can see from the images below, the shirt is a traditional red [surprise, surprise] with a dark red stripe down the middle of the body. It comes with the PUMA logo and Arsenal crest on the chest along with with Fly Emirates sponsorship.
If this mock-up is accurate, then we’re sticking with the white sleeves and shoulders but the collar has bee redesigned, as we’ve gone with a squared-off look complemented with navy detailing.
I think it’s quite slick and has a slight retro feel about it, but we’ll have to wait and see how accurate these ‘leaked’ photos are to the real thing. I’m in no doubt we’ll see more photos spreading online over the coming weeks.
What do you think of the shirt?
