The Arsenal players have been celebrating on Twitter after securing a vital 2-1 victory over Leicester City at the Emirates this afternoon.
The Premier League leaders opened the scoring just before half-time when Jamie Vardy converted from the penalty spot after being brought down by Nacho Monreal.
However, after Danny Simpson saw red shortly after the break, Arsenal took control and levelled things up through Theo Walcott before Danny Welbeck came off the bench to score a dramatic last gasp winner.
The result sees us climb up to second place in the table and to within two points of Leicester so it’s easy to understand why the players have been in buoyant mood after the game.
Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini have all shared the same photo on Twitter of the squad celebrating in the dressing room along with messages to their followers, with Rambo taking time to welcome back ‘DatGuy’ Danny Welbeck following his winning goal.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alexis Sanchez also shared the same squad photo on Instagram with the Chilean international calling the players his ‘family’ while Gabriel – who missed the game with a hamstring injury – congratulated his team mates on the win.
