Arsenal’s title hopes are left in tatters after slumping to a hugely disappointing 2-1 defeat to Swansea City at the Emirates on Wednesday night.
Things looked to be going to plan as we took an early lead through Joel Campbell after he produced a wonderfully improvised finish from an Alexis Sanchez pass to make it 1-0 in the 15th minute.
Swansea levelled things up in controversial fashion when Wayne Routledge beat the offside trap to slot past Petr Cech in the 32nd minute but replays showed we should have had a free-kick for a foul on Mesut Ozil.
The visitors when took a shock lead in the 74th minute when Cech failed to deal with a dangerous Gylfi Sigurdsson free-kick and Ashley Williams bundled the ball home.
Arsenal barely summoned a response and limped to a 2-1 defeat which leaves us sitting third in the table and six points adrift of leaders Leicester City.
