Chelsea will look to end a miserable season on a positive note when they take on newly-crowned Premier League champions Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Ahead of the game, interim boss Guus Hiddink took part in his final pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s given reporters the latest team and injury news.
The Dutchman was pleased to confirm a huge fitness boost with the news that Thibaut Courtois is back in full training and is fit to make his return to the squad this weekend.
The Belgian international missed Wednesday night’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield through illness but the Blues number one should now return between the sticks against Leicester on Sunday.
However, there wasn’t such positive news on the fitness of Diego Costa as the striker has been ruled out of this weekend’s match with the hamstring injury that he suffered in training earlier this week.
Costa missed the trip to Anfield in midweek and some reports have suggested the striker might be ruled out of this summers European Championships, but Hiddink is hopeful the Spanish international will be back in time to play his part over in France.
Branislav Ivanovic missed the draw at Liverpool with a groin injury and a late decision will be made over his availability this weekend but Hiddink didn’t give any indication as to the condition of Willian after he limped off at Anfield with a hamstring injury.
