The summer transfer window is in full swing so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal have agreed terms with Alexandre Lacazette….
Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Alexandre Lacazette amid reports that Arsene Wenger is ready to table a fresh £35m bid for the Lyon hitman, according to the Express.
Wenger is on the look-out for a new top class striker to offer competition for Olivier Giroud this season and Lacazette has emerged as a prime target in recent weeks.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas revealed last week that he had rejected our opening £29.3m bid [source: Telegraph] and insisted that the French international would not be sold at any price.
However, the Lyon chiefs comments were widely thought to be nothing more more than a negotiating tactic and manager Bruno Genesio confirmed as much after admitting on Monday that Lacazette could be sold if the right offer was put on the table.
It looks like we’ve taken a huge step closer to completing a deal for the 25-year-old as the Express are citing reports coming from Le10 Sport that claim Lacazette has agreed personal terms with Arsenal over a potential move to the Emirates.
The French outlet goes on to state that Wenger will submit a fresh offer this week which supports what the the Telegraph claimed over the weekend when they reported that Arsenal are set to test Lyon’s resolve with an improved £35m bid.
We’ll have to wait and see whether £35m will be enough to persuade the Ligue 1 club to cash-in but we must be confident of securing a deal if these reports are accurate that personal terms have been agreed with the player.

Lacazette would certainly offer us something different to Giroud as he’s a pacey striker who likes to make runs beyond the oppositions defence and he’d also bring a much-needed goal threat having scored 23 goals last season and 31 the year before, so I’d love to see him come to the club.
Hopefully we can get a deal wrapped-up quickly though as the Liverpool game is on the horizon and with Giroud expected to miss out, Theo Walcott is currently our only senior option through the middle.
