[Photo] Paul Pogba Update As Star Limps Through Airport After Man Utd Defeat
Here is an update on Paul Pogba after the midfielder arrived back in Manchester having picked up an injury during United’s defeat to Fenerbahce.
Paul Pogba was spotted limping through Manchester airport in the early hours of Friday morning after the Manchester United squad arrived back in the UK following their defeat to Fenerbahce.
The world most expensive player was forced off midway through the first half during United’s disappointing 2-1 defeat to Fenerbahce in the group stages of the Europa League on Thursday night.
Pogba pulled up holding his leg and despite trying to continue, the midfielder was eventually substituted for Zlatan Ibrahimovic as Jose Mourinho’s men went down 2-1 to leave their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages hanging in the balance.
The beleaguered squad arrived back in Manchester at around 3.30am and the Express claim that Pogba was seen limping through the airport as the player made their way to the team coach.
The good news is the newspaper says the French international has only suffered a dead leg so he isn’t expected to be ruled out for any period of time, but Pogba is still considered as a major doubt for Sunday’s trip to Swansea City.
The Red Devils head to the Liberty Stadium having not won any of their previous four league games which has left them sitting eight points adrift of leaders Manchester City so losing Pogba would be a real blow as Jose Mourinho looks to get his side back on track.
