Arsenal face an uphill battle to finish top of their Champions League group after drawing 2-2 with Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates on Wednesday night.
Arsene Wenger’s men were once again slow out of the blocks as PSG dominated the early stages of the game and took a deserved lead when Edinson Cavani slid home at the far post to make it 0-1 in the 18th minute.
The visitors continued to have the better of the play as we struggled to create anything of note but were given the perfect opportunity to get ourselves back in the game when Alexis Sanchez was brought down in the area.
Olivier Giroud stepped up and converted from 18 yards to make it 1-1 in the 45th minute and send us in to the break all square.
We improved after the break and got a huge slice of luck when Marco Verratti put through his own net in the 60h minute following a scramble in the box to make it 2-1.
However, PSG levelled things up with 15 minutes remaining when Lucas headed home at the far post via a flick from Alex Iwobi to make it 2-2.
The result means we drop to second with PSG now in pole position on away goals and they will secure top spot if they beat Ludogorets in their final game.
