Paul Pogba has responded on Instagram following his disappointing performance during Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
The world most expensive player went in to this weekend’s game off the back of some impressive performances and fans were expecting to see the French international step-up and shine on the big stage against their north-west rivals.
However, Pogba endured a nightmare game at Old Trafford as he missed a guilt-edge chance to open the scoring before gifting Liverpool a penalty with a needless handball midway through the first half.
James Milner duly converted the spot-kick to give the Merseysiders the lead and although Zlatan Ibrahimovic salvaged a late point for United, Pogba was widely criticised for his performance yesterday.
The midfielder has now taken to Instagram to offer a reaction with the 23-year-old philosophically saying ‘sh*t happens’ before insisting that he’s ready to fight and thanked the fans for their support.
Pogba wrote on Instagram:
“#shithappens… That’s when we need be strong. I’m here, ready to fight and ready for the next one!!! I’d like to thank the supporters who are always there and keep believing in me. At least we did not lose. Never stop fighting”.
The former Juventus star will now be looking to bounce back when Manchester United travel to the Britannia Stadium to take on Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.
