Arsenal have been handed a triple injury boost ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash with Burnley while there is also positive news on Olivier Giroud’s ankle injury.
Hector Bellerin has missed our last two matches against Preston North End and Swansea City after picking up a fresh ankle injury in training earlier this month.
However, thankfully it’s turned out to be nothing serious and data analyst Ben Dinnery – who works for the likes of Sky Sports – confirmed on Twitter that the Spanish full-back has now returned to full training and should be in contention this Sunday.
Kieran Gibbs has sat out our last four matches in all competitions after suffering a knee injury during the win over West Brom last month but the left-back is also back in full training and should be available to face Burnley.
In a triple boost, Francis Coquelin could also be back in contention this weekend after making a swift recovery from a hamstring injury that he sustained against Bournemouth earlier this month.
Dinnery also had a positive update on the fitness of Giroud after revealing that his ankle injury isn’t as bad as first feared and the club are confident he could be available this weekend.
Giroud was forced off after sustaining what was believed to be a serious ankle injury during our 4-0 win at Swansea on Saturday and while he’ll continue to be assessed over the coming days, the striker could be fit for the visit of Burnley.
Dinnery said:
Bellerin, Gibbs and Coquelin have all returned to full training. The trio will be available on Sunday *barring any setbacks. #AFC

It will be a huge relief to have Bellerin back again as he’s a vital part of our first team while it will also be great news to have another option in the middle of the park with Coquelin fit as Santi Cazorla is still out following ankle surgery while Mohamed Elneny is at the African Cup of Nations.
However, Giroud’s availability could be the most important of the four players as the French international has been in superb form in recent weeks and made it 5 goals in 5 games with the opener against Swansea at the weekend.
