Chelsea Team News: Conte Offers Update Ahead Showdown With ‘Unlucky’ Arsenal
Antonio Conte has given the latest team news and offered his thoughts ahead of Chelsea’s crucial Premier League showdown against Arsenal.
Chelsea will be looking to cement their position at the top of the Premier League table when they take on Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Ahead of the game, Antonio Conte has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s given reporters his thoughts and a team news update.
The Blues boss was pleased to confirm that his squad have suffered no fresh injury concerns following Tuesday night’s fiercely battled 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield.
It means Conte is in the unenviable position of having a fully-fit squad to choose from against Arsenal tomorrow so the Italian will have plenty of selection decisions to make.
Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against Liverpool saw them open up a nine point lead over Arsenal after the north Londoners slumped to a shock 2-1 defeat to Watford at the Emirates that same night.
However, Conte doesn’t seem to be looking too much in to the result as he says the Gunners were unlucky to lose on Tuesday and he believes Arsene Wenger’s side come in to the game in good form.
The league leaders know just what Arsenal are capable of having been beaten 3-0 in the reverse fixture back in September and Conte has admitted the result at the Emirates is still fresh in his mind, and he hopes it’s still in the minds of his players.
The defeat in north London prompted the Italian coach to revert to his preferred 3-4-3 formation and Conte suggests that tomorrow’s clash at Stamford Bridge is a chance for his players to show just how much they’ve improved over the past few months.

A win for Chelsea would open up a 12 point advantage over Arsenal and almost certainly end their title hopes for another season but an away win would see the Gunners close to within six points and put Wenger’s side right back in the mix, so it’s all to play for in west London tomorrow.
