Arsenal and Chelsea are ready to battle-it-out over the signing of Ivan Perisic as the want-away attacker looks set to leave Inter Milan this summer, according to Goal.
Perisic joined Inter from Wolfsburg in 2015 and caught the eye after enjoying an excellent European Championship Finals with Croatia last summer.
However, the 28-year-old’s future at the San Siro is in doubt and Goal claim he’s almost certainly heading to England this summer after growing increasingly unhappy in Italy with Inter lining-up Fiorentina’s Federico Bernardeschi and Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi as potential replacements.
The Mirror reported last month that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho had flown over to Croatia to hold talks with Perisic about a possible move to Old Trafford at the end of the season.
Mourinho is gearing-up for a busy summer in the transfer market and Perisic is the quality of player United need if they’re to turn in to genuine title challengers again.
However, it looks like the Red Devils will now face stiff competition for his signature as Goal claim that Arsenal and Chelsea have now joined United in the race to sign the Croatian international.
Arsene Wenger is likely to stay-on at the Emirates and undertake a complete overhaul of his squad and the Frenchman is eyeing Perisic as the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lucas Perez are being tipped to leave this summer.
Antonio Conte is also in the market for attacking reinforcements as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of Chelsea’s return to the Champions League and the Blues boss knows Perisic well from his time in Italy.
Inter appear resigned to losing the player and it seems a move to the Premier League is on the cards with Goal reporting that Perisic will be available for around £33m – which seems decent value in today’s market.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop but while Perisic is predominantly a left-winger, he’s capable of playing anywhere across the attacking positions so I think he’d be a great buy for any of the English clubs being linked.
