Liverpool Team News: Klopp Confirms Double Injury Boost But Key Man Still Out
Jurgen Klopp has confirmed a double injury boost ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Watford but another key player continues to miss out.
Liverpool will be looking to give their top four challenge a major boost when they take on Watford at Vicarage Road on Monday night.
Ahead of the game, Jurgen Klopp has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s given reporters a team news and injury update.
The Reds boss was pleased to confirm a huge boost with the news that Adam Lallana is back in full training after recovering from a thigh injury that’s hampered him recently.
Lallana sustained the injury while away with the England squad in March and has missed the last five games but the midfielder could return to the squad on Monday night.
There was also positive news on Daniel Sturridge as the striker is also training today despite fears he may have been ruled out for the rest of the rest of the season.
Reports last week suggested that Sturridge may have played his last game this campaign after aggravating a hip injury but it appears the striker has made a swift recovery and could be involved against Watford.
However, there was no update regarding the fitness of Jordan Henderson as Klopp says the skipper is still not back out on the training pitches as he continues to recover from a foot injury.
Henderson hasn’t featured since mid-February due to the problem and the England international is now facing a race against time to play again this season.
Klopp: "Adam is back in team training today. Hendo is not on the pitch, nothing new, Daniel is in team training today, too."
