Liverpool have confirmed a 25-man squad will fly out to Portugal this afternoon ahead of their Champions League last-16 first leg clash with Porto.
The Reds will be looking to bring home a positive result ahead of the second leg at Anfield when they take on the Portuguese giants at the Estadio do Dragao on Wednesday evening.
However, they then won’t play again until welcoming West Ham to Anfield for their Premier League clash on February 24th so Jurgen Klopp has decided to take his full 25-man squad with him to Portugal.
Nathaniel Clyne has been included in the travelling party despite the 26-year-old not featuring this season due to an on-going back injury that he picked up in pre-season.
Joe Gomez has missed Liverpool’s last two matches due to a knee injury but the young defender is also named in the squad along with Ragnar Klavan – who missed the 2-0 win at Southampton on Sunday with a thigh problem.
Virgil van Dijk is expected to get his first taste of Champions League football in a Liverpool shirt on Wednesday after being added to the squad following his January switch from Southampton.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will also be hoping to feature for the Reds after moving from Arsenal last month while youngster Ben Woodburn is also named in the travelling party.
Here is the 25-man Liverpool squad for the Porto game as announced on Liverpoolfc.com:
Karius, Mignolet, Ward, Grabara, Clyne, Van Dijk, Lovren, Gomez, Klavan, Moreno, Robertson, Matip, Alexander-Arnold, Wijnaldum, Milner, Henderson, Lallana, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Can, Woodburn, Firmino, Salah, Mane, Ings, Solanke.
