Liverpool will be looking to boost their chances of finishing second in the Premier League when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday lunchtime.
Here is the side I think Jurgen Klopp will select for the game:
Goalkeeper: Loris Karius is now Liverpool’s first choice goalkeeper so the German stopper is set to keep his place ahead of Simon Mignolet this weekend.
Defence: Klopp made some changes for the Champions League stalemate with Porto in midweek so we should see Virgil van Dijk recalled after being given a well earned rest.
Joel Matip could be the man to make way as Dejan Lovren has been deployed alongside van Dijk in recent weeks while Andrew Robertson should come in for Alberto Moreno at left-back.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was also rested in midweek so he could be recalled at right-back with Joe Gomez making way.
Midfield: It will be interesting to see if Jordan Henderon keeps his place as Klopp has rotated him regularly since he recovered from a niggling injury and the skipper played against Porto on Tuesday night.
However, I think Henderson will be retained for this huge game at United while Emre Can should also keep his place in the middle of the park.
James Milner could be an open if Klopp wants to keep things ultra-tight in midfield but I think Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will get a recall as he’s been in great form recently.
Gini Wijnaldum could also be pushing for a recall after recovering from an illness that’s kept him out of the last two games but a place on the bench might be the best he can hope for this weekend.
Attack: Klopp gave Mohamed Salah a well earned rest against Porto so the Egyptian sensation is certain to be recalled on Saturday afternoon.
Sadio Mane is expected to keep his place in attack while Roberto Firmino should lead the line up front once again after being withdrawn early against Porto in midweek.
Adam Lallana made a steady return to the starting eleven on Tuesday after a long battle with injury but the England international is expected to drop to the bench this weekend.
Here is how we think Liverpool will line up:
