Liverpool booked their place in the final of the Champions League with a 7-6 aggregate victory despite losing 4-2 to Roma in Rome this evening.

Liverpool got off to the perfect start as Roberto Firmino teed-up Sadio Mane and the Senegalese international slotted home in the 9th minute to make it 6-2 on aggregate.
Roma responded quickly to level things up on the night as Dejan Lovren’s attempted clearance clattered off the face of James Milner and flew in to the Liverpool net for 1-1.
However, the visitors restored their lead in the 25th minute when Georginio Wijnaldum headed home from close range to make it 1-2 and 7-3 on aggregate.
Roma pulled one back to make it 2-2 when Edin Dzeko pounced to poke home after Loris Karius had spilled a Stephan El Shaarawy effort in the 52nd minute and Radja Nainggolan made it 3-2 with 5 minutes left.
The hosts managed to grab another late goal as Nainggolan scored a 94th minute penalty to make it 4-2 on the night but Liverpool held on to secure a thrilling 7-6 aggregate victory to book their place in the final where they’ll meet Real Madrid.
