Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are battling it out over the signing of Steven Bergwijn with PSV Eindhoven ready to cash-in on the £23m-rated winger, according to reports in Italy via the Express.
Bergwijn came through the youth ranks at Ajax but joined PSV’s youth set-up in 2011 and has developed in to one of the most highly-rated young talents in Dutch football since making his first team debut in 2014.
The 20-year-old was a regular in the starting eleven last season and provided 8 goals and 11 assists in his 32 appearances to help PSV clinch the Eredivisie title last campaign.
The youngster is being tipped to break in to the senior Dutch national team having represented his country and various youth levels up to U21 and his potential has caught the attention of clubs here in the Premier League.
That’s because the Express are citing a report from Tutto Mercato Web that claims Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are all battling it out over a deal to sign Bergwijn this summer
The Italian publication goes on to suggest that PSV are resigned to losing their wonderkid over the coming months and have slapped a £23m valuation on his head – which shouldn’t deter the Premier League trio.
New Arsenal boss Unai Emery is looking to revamp the squad he inherited from Arsene Wenger and Bergwijn would add some width to the Gunners’ attack if they managed to lure him to the Emirates.
Liverpool are also in the market for attacking reinforcements as Jurgen Klopp needs competition for the likes of Sadio Mane and Mo Salah next season and it seems Bergwijn is also on his radar.
However, Tottenham will compete for his signature as Mauricio Pochettino tries to build a squad capable of being genuine title contenders having once again secured their top four status last season.

Bergwijn would be an exciting addition for any of the English clubs as he’s a pacy, two-footed winger who can play anywhere across the attacking positions but we’ll have to wait and see if he secures a move to the Premier League this summer.
