[Teams] Liverpool vs Southampton: Confirmed Line-Ups From Anfield

Liverpool will be looking to maintain their perfect start to the new season when they welcome Southampton to Anfield this afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp has handed Xhedran Shaqiri his full debut as the Switzerland international line-up in midfield alongside Georginio Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson. James Milner makes way while Naby Keita must make do with a place on the bench alongside Fabinho.

Roberto Firmino is recalled up front after coming off the bench to score a late winner over Paris Saint-Germain in midweek meaning Daniel Sturridge drops out despite also getting himself on the score-sheet in the Champions League.

Joel Matip makes his first start of the season as he replaces Joe Gomez to line-up alongside Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson in the back four.
