Liverpool have been handed a major boost with the Evening Standard claiming that Mohamed Salah is fit for Saturday’s trip to Arsenal despite picking up a wrist injury.

The Egyptian international sparked fears he could be a doubt for the huge clash at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening after being photographed wearing a protective cast on his wrist while training at Melwood on Wednesday afternoon.

However, Reds’ fans can breath a sign of relief as the Evening Standard are reporting that the injury isn’t considered serious and Salah will still be available for selection against Arsenal this weekend.

The 26-year-old forward played a full part in Liverpool’s training session yesterday without any problem so Salah is fully expected to be named in Jurgen Klopp’s starting eleven on Saturday night.

The news will come as a welcome boost to the Merseysiders as despite not quite living up to his sensational form of last season, Salah has still been a key player for Liverpool this campaign.

After a relatively slow start by his high standards, Salah has been back in form in front of goal in recent weeks and now has 7 goals and 4 assists in his 14 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

The forward is likely to start on the right-wing once again this weekend with Salah supporting Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane in what has become one of the most dangerous attacks in world football.

Liverpool head to north London looking to keep the pressure on Manchester City with a positive result against the Gunners with just goal difference separating the top two while Arsenal are just four points adrift in fourth place.
