Chelsea take on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on Sunday afternoon. Here is the side I think Maurizio Sarri will select for the game:
Goalkeeper: Kepa Arrizabalaga missed the Europa League victory over Malmo with a minor hamstring injury but the Spaniard is expected to return between the sticks on Sunday meaning Willy Caballero will drop to the bench.
Defence: Sarri is likely to make a couple of changes in defence with David Luiz given a recall after being named on the bench against Malmo. Andreas Christensen is the man most likely to make way with Antonio Rudiger keeping his place in the back four.
Davide Zappacosta is struggling with flu but even if passed fit the Italian is expected to be named on the bench with Cesar Azpilicueta once again starting at right-back. Marcos Alonso has been struggling for form this season and Emerson Palmeiri has shown promise whenever he’s played but I still think Sarri will go with Alonso against City as he seems to favour the Spaniard.
Midfield: Chelsea should make at least one change with Jorginho certain to be recalled for the final on Sunday. N’Golo Kante should keep his place as despite not playing in his favoured position, the Frenchman is still a key player for the Blues.
Ross Barkley will be hoping to keep his place in midfield but I think Sarri will opt for Mateo Kovacic alongside Jorginho and Kante meaning the English international will have to make-do with a place among the substitutes.
Attack: We should see plenty of changes in the Chelsea attack with Eden Hazard certain to be recalled after being rested for the Europa League victory over Malmo on Thursday night.
Gonzalo Higuain is also expected to come back in to the side so Olivier Giroud will make way despite scoring last time out. Callum Hudson-Odoi was also on target against Malmo and fans are desperate to see more of the youngster but I think we’ll still see him drop out against City.
Willian played against Malmo last night but Pedro should be recalled to start in attack if he recovers from a stomach bug that kept him out of the Europa League last-32 clash.
Here is how we think Chelsea will line-up:
