The agent of Dennis Praet has confirmed the midfielder wants to leave Sampdoria this summer after Arsenal saw their opening bid rejected, according to the Mirror.
Unai Emery is expected to be extremely busy over the coming weeks as he needs to overhaul his squad after Arsenal finished fifth in the Premier League last season and therefore missed out on Champions League qualification.
The Gunners boss is in the market for midfield reinforcements as Aaron Ramsey has joined Juventus on a free transfer after failing to sign a new contract while the likes of Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny are also being linked with moves this summer.
Praet emerged as a prime target earlier this month and the Mirror claim we saw an opening £37.5m double bid for the Belgian international and team-mate Joachim Andersen rejected by Sampdoria.
The 25-year-old has also been linked with a move to AC Milan and Praet’s agent, Martin Riha, has now confirmed the midfielder is ready to join a ‘big club’ following three years at Sampdoria.

Riha suggested offers have come in from several teams around Europe, however, he refused to confirm whether Arsenal are one of the clubs to have tabled an offer for the Belgian star.
Riha told CalcioMercato:
“AC Milan is an important brand, it’s a big name. But there are also other clubs that want to sign him, especially abroad, they’ve already shown their interest.”

“I can’t add anything else now, I think you can understand. Dennis is a complete footballer and he is ready to join a big club.
“There are many clubs interested, we’ll know everything in a few weeks”.
Praet has made over 100 appearances for Sampdoria since joining the club from Anderlecht back in 2016 and he contributed two goals and three assists in his 37 appearances in Italy last season.
He’s a specialist central midfielder who would be a solid replacement for Ramsey if we could get a deal agreed but I personally don’t think he’s quiet at the Welshman’s level just yet.

Let’s see how things develop over the coming weeks as it seems the midfielder has plenty of options to think about but it looks like Praet will be on the move this summer with Arsenal right in the mix for his signature.
