Arsenal fans have been gushing over Dani Ceballos after the Spanish midfielder put in a sensational performance on his full debut against Burnley this afternoon.

Ceballos joined Arsenal on a season-long loan from Real Madrid earlier this month and after making a cameo appearance off the bench at Newcastle United last weekend he was handed his full debut by Unai Emery today.

The 23-year-old certainly didn’t disappoint as Ceballos ran the show at the Emirates and he set-up both goals to help Arsenal secure a vital 2-1 victory over a tough Burnley side.

The midfielder’s excellent cross found Alexandre Lacazette in the 13th minute and the Frenchman turned to fire Arsenal ahead before an Ashley Barnes equaliser made it 1-1 just before half-time.

However, Arsenal grabbed what turned out to be a winning goal midway through the second period and Ceballos played a key role again as he won possession to allow Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to lash home from 20 yards. [Watch the goals here]

Ceballos showcased an array of wonderful touches, twists and turns, his passing was excellent while his hard working performances also caught the eye during a memorable debut for the Spanish Under-23 international.

Understandably, Arsenal fans have been praising Ceballos on social media with some supporters labelling him a ‘baller’, ‘immense’ and one fan has even called for a statue to be built for him outside the Emirates.

It was certainly an outstanding performance from Ceballos and another supporter suggested he’s a mix of Zidane, Makelele and Cazorla – which is obviously a huge compliment.
