Chelsea begin their Champions League group stage campaign when they take on Valencia at Stamford Bridge tonight.
Fikayo Tomori keeps his place in defence after scoring a stunner during the win over Wolves at the weekend. Kurt Zouma is recalled to start along with Andreas Christensen as Frank Lampard sticks with a back three. Antonio Rudiger misses out with an ankle injury.
The Chelsea boss is also without N’Golo Kante as he continues to work his way back to full fitness so Mateo Kovacic lines-up alongside Jorginho in midfield. Cesar Azpilicueta starts in the right wing-back position while Marcos Alonso continues on the left in the absence of the injured Emerson.
Tammy Abraham is fit to start up front despite complaining of muscle fatigue following his hat-trick performance against Wolves on Saturday. Mason Mount keeps his place in the Chelsea attack after scoring another goal at the weekend while Willian is preferred to Pedro in attack.
Christian Pulisic has to make do with a place among the substitutes where he’s joined by Michy Batshuayi, Olivier Giroud and Ross Barkley while young defender Marc Guehi also makes the Chelsea bench tonight.
