Just a quick injury update ahead of the Porto game. Arsenal have left the airport without Gallas, Song, Arshavin, Almunia and Eduardo.
We all knew Arshavin would miss out, Song was a major doubt and Eduardo has been out for 3 weeks. But if im honest i didn’t even know Almunia or Gallas were injury concerns. Im sure we will find out more about their injuries in Arsene Wenger’s press conference later today.
It now looks like Campbell, Denilson, Rosicky, Fabianski and Bendtner will be the likely replacements. These injuries are a real blow but for them to come before such a big game is cruel.
Arsenal’s injury problems mount but i have full confidence in all the replacements, with the exception of Denilson. I hope he proves me wrong but he will have to step up big time!
