[UPDATED] BREAKING NEWS: Van Persie Forced Off With Knee Injury
Here we go again Arsenal fans. It will not be entirely surprising to hear that Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie has been forced off at half time during Holland’s Euro Qualifier against Hungry with what seems to be a knee injury.
Van Persie had earlier opened the scoring before limping off the pitch at half time and failed to appear for the second half. The severity of the injury is not yet known but all Arsenal fans as well as Arsene Wenger will be holding their breath and praying its not a reoccurance of the knee injury he sustained during last month’s Carling Cup defeat to Birmingham.
More to come as we get it….
***UPDATE***
Good news Gooners. Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk has said that Van Persie’s injury is not serious and he should be ok to play for Arsenal this wekeend:
“He got kneed in his thigh. But he can play with Arsenal again this weekend,” confirmed van Marwijk after the game.
