Who’s The Best Left Back Option For Arsenal Next Year?
After reading the football news and seeing another rumour linking a left back to Arsenal, here is a look at who would best fit the bill at the Emirates.
Leighton Baines (Everton)
Well, a decent defensive left back that would in some ways ease the pressure on centerbacks Kosciely and partner with the defence. Although he still doesn’t bring the attacking threat of current left wing back Gael Clichy, he will bring something new to the Arsenal free kicks, being a deadball specialist. Everton aren’t the richest club around these days, so don’t be surprised if this move comes on the cheap for the Gunners.

Taye Taiwo (Marseille)
Another brilliant player with the dead ball, but with more power and aggression to his shot. His defending is fair to be said as secure, although his attacking player lets him down. Taiwo is also relatively inconsistent, although his versatility and ability to play at centerback will give him bonus marks in helping his potential move to the Emirates stadium.

Gael Clichy (Arsenal)
As the saying goes, why fix something that isn’t broken? In my opinion, Arsenal should go ahead and up their offer to Clichy to meet his wage demands to keep him at Arsenal. After all, he is at the peak of his career and it would be a waste to see him go away (And for free!)
