Fulham boss Mark Hughes has joined Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish in giving their praises to Luis Suarez after the Uruguayan star once again notched up another remarkable performance to inspire his side to a satisfying 5-2 victory over Fulham.
Despite only finding the net once, Luis Suarez has pretty much stolen the headlines from hat-trick hero Maxi Rodriguez as he was Liverpool’s driving force, playing in a more supportive role.
The impressive win moved Liverpool up to a much better-looking fifth spot, 2 points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.
Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish gave his plaudits to his superb number-7 after the match:
He was fantastic. He was running as hard at the end as he was at the very beginning and he caused them all sorts of problems.
I don’t think in our wildest dreams he could’ve settled in as quickly as he has done and taken to English football the way that he has done. He’s graced the pitch every time he’s played on it
Kenny Dalglish
Fulham manager Mark Hughes had to admit that his defenders have failed to get their job done by marking down Suarez. Adding that it was a “new experience” for his boys.
It was a new experience for them and they’ll learn from it because he’s an accomplished player.
When good players have time and space they can hurt you, which he (Luis Suarez) certainly did.
