We’re lucky enough to have been chosen to run a competition for our readers to win a copy of the new ‘500 GREAT GOALS: The Best Ever Goals from the World’s Favourite Game’ DVD that will officially be released on Monday the 23rd May.
The DVD is brought to you by Go Entertain and will be sold at £19.99 but you can get your hands on a copy for FREE. Here’s a snippet from the official press release:
“From solo sensations to incredible team efforts, delicate chips to 40 yard screamers, 500 Great Goals serves up a feast of the finest strikes in football history. Featuring international greats such as Pelé,
Cruyff and Zidane and homegrown heroes like Rooney, Beckham and Gazza, 500 Great Goals relives the greatest moments from the greatest players in the world’s greatest competitions.”
There are 3 copies in total to be won and entering couldn’t be simpler, all you need to do is either ‘like’ our Football-Talk Facebook page and leave a comment OR if your not on Facebook simply email us, telling us what your favourite ever goal is. To be eligible you will need to live in the UK though.
We were given a copy to review and our team loved it. A few of us got together, got a pizza and a few beers in and watched it on a big screen TV. What more could you ask for? It was great to relive some moments we hadn’t seen for a while or had forgotten about.
The DVD included strikes from all the great players, both past and present. As an Arsenal fan, I of course looked out for any goal involving the Gunners and in particular any goal we scored against Tottenham (there was too many to choose from!). Here are my two favourite Arsenal goals:
Bergkamp vs Newcastle: 2002: What can you say? Bergkamp was an absolute genius and was always one step ahead of the opposition in his head. But nobody could have anticipated the Dutchman would do what he did at St. James Park that day. Enjoy….
Thierry Henry vs Tottenham: 2002: My favourite Arsenal player of all time, and no wonder with goals like this. I was lucky enough to be sitting behind the goal in the North Bank at Highbury when Henry produced this stunning run and finish against the scum. Loved it!
One of my favourite goals scored by non-Arsenal players was the Rooney volley against Newcastle:
And who can forget this Steven Gerrard effort against Olympiakos?!
To take a trip down memory lane and watch a compilation of 500 of the greatest goals ever scored, just like our Facebook page email us and leave a comment saying what your favourite goal ever is and you will be in the draw to win a copy of the DVD.
