Arsenal Transfer News: Fabregas Touted For Milan & Clichy Swap Mooted
Roma offer Menez for Clichy
Reports in Italian media RMC suggest Roma have offered French midfielder Jeremy Menez in exchange for contract rebel Gael Clichy. Menez has failed to impress this season and particular since the arrival of Roma legend Vincenzo Montella.
Roma have been linked with the Arsenal full back previously, but with talks still stumbling over a new contract Clichy could be set for Serie A. Menez, 24 was brought back in 2008 from French club Monaco and is renowned for his lightening pace.
Moggi Suggests Fabregas Move
Former Juventus Managing Director Luciano Moggi doesn’t believe Napoli starlet Marek Hamsik will make an impact at former rivals AC Milan.
Milan have been linked with 23-year old in recent weeks but Moggi believes Milan chiefs should turn their attention to Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas. Moggi argued:
“Hamsik is not a star, he has class but is very inconsistent, as I said, a player who would be added only as a squad player is not a star.
“Fabregas instead would be a huge coup.”
Moggi is currently being tried in a criminal court for sporting fraud in connection with the 2006 Calciopoli scandal.
