Walcott Unsure On Future Of Nasri & Fabregas
Theo Walcott has admitted he has no idea if Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas will be playing at the Emirates next season.
Both players have been heavily linked with moves away from North London this summer and neither player has been quick to quash any speculation with their futures, fuelling their imminent departure from the club.
Fabregas has again been linked with a move to Barcelona with talks still ongoing over the exact fee. Nasri only has a year remaining on his current deal, but the chairman has confirmed they will risk losing him for nothing next June in order to keep him for another season.
Walcott is hopeful he will be lining up with both players next season but admits only time will tell.
“It is for the manager and the staff to answer, whether the futures of Cesc and Samir get sorted out sooner rather than later,” said Walcott. “Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and their careers.
“Samir is always in good spirits. He is very professional and gets on with his job.
“He is playing for Arsenal and hopefully he will continue to, but only time will tell.
“Cesc is our captain. I think he has a slight knock and is working back at home, getting fit. We’ll see what’s going to happen.”
