Former Manchester United ace Paul Ince claims unwanted Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton is not good enough to replace the retired Paul Scholes, but feels the player is more suited for Arsenal.
Former Manchester United ace Paul Ince claims unwanted Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton is not good enough to replace the retired Paul Scholes, but feels the player is more suited for Arsenal.
Barton’s future has been well documented on social media site Twitter, with the controversial midfielder claiming he is free to leave St James’ Park for nothing.
Arsenal, Tottenham, Everton and Manchester Untied have all been linked with the hothead but no word of an official approach yet, and Ince has had his say:
“There’s not many players that are good enough for Old Trafford,” Ince told talkSPORT.
“Joey excelled himself for Newcastle last season but whether he’s a Manchester United player, I’m not too sure.
“He’s not good enough to replace Paul Scholes, that’s for sure. I’d say Joey Barton would be better for Arsenal.”
