Arsenal Transfer News: Gunners Close On £10m Forward
Arsenal are set to sign Monaco striker Park Chu-young who looked to be on his way to Lille.
Arsenal are set to sign Monaco striker Park Chu-young from under the noses of French outfit Lille.
The South Korean was on his way to the French champions but failed to show up for a second medical and it seems he is now set to move to Arsenal:
“We haven’t had a telephone call, nothing,” Lille president Michel Seydoux said. “From what we understand he could be at Arsenal.
“Like Monaco, Lille are baffled. Everything [about his move] had been agreed.”
The 26-year old has played over 100 games for Monaco scoring 26 goals for the French side and is valued at £10m. The worry for many Arsenal fans may be that stealing the player from Lille may hamper any potential deal for Gunners target Eden Hazard, who is contracted to Lille.
