Dalglish Backs Under-Fire Carroll
Kenny Dalglish was delighted with the performance of Andy Carroll after their victory against Wolves.
Kenny Dalglish was delighted with the performance of Andy Carroll after their victory against Wolves.
The England striker has come under criticism this season with the target man failing to reproduce the form that saw Liverpool part with £35million. Carroll’s private life has also come under scrutiny with England boss Fabio Capello suggesting the striker needs to address his “party lifestyle”.
Despite the claims Dalglish is delighted with the forwards contribution so far this season.
“Andy’s performance had everything except a goal,” said Dalglish.
“We could not get more out of the big fella and we were delighted with him and for him.
“I don’t think Andy played too many times with Luis last season because he was injured but the two of them played well.”
