[PLAYER RATINGS] Liverpool 1-1 Man Utd: How The Reds Got On….
Liverpool FC drew with Manchester United on Saturday with a Hernandez goal canceling out Steven Gerrard’s free kick on his first start in almost 6 months. So, how did the reds get on?
Pepe Reina
Had nothing much to do throughout apart from that punt from a goal kick. Couldn’t do anything to stop Manchester United’s only shot on target though. Guided his defenders through the course of the match.
Player Rating: 6
Martin Kelly
Did fantastically well to keep Ashley Young quiet. Young had a very, very ordinary game by his standards.
Player Rating: 7
Jamie Carragher
Kept the Liverpool FC defensive line in shape. Cleared the dangerous situations with that signature hoof of his.
Player Rating: 7
Martin Skrtel
Provided a bright spark when he charged all the way into the Manchester United penalty box from the halfway line. Otherwise, he had a very ordinary game, could have reacted faster to Welbeck’s flick-on to prevent Hernandez from scoring.
Player Rating: 6
Jose Enrique
Didn’t allow for Park Ji Sung to do much at all throughout the course of the game. Put in a couple of quality crosses in the box and deserved to be on the winning side.
Player Rating: 8
Charlie Adam
Wasn’t allowed too much time to dictate the game, but did win the free kick that Gerrard converted with a surging run towards De Gea.
Player Rating: 7
Lucas Leiva
His yellow card restricted his ability to go in for tackles a little, but was pretty confident sitting in front of the back 4.
Player Rating: 6.5
Dirk Kuyt
Had a glorious chance to win it right at the death. Otherwise, lost the ball a total of 6 times whilst dribbling alone. Would have preferred it if Bellamy or Carroll started ahead of him.
Player Rating: 6
Steven Gerrard
The captain is back. A typically influential display from our captain and inspired the fight for all 3 points. A superbly taken goal.
Player Rating: 8
Stewart Downing
Provided quality from the wings sometimes, but was very quiet. He was particularly quiet following a dive when Patrice Evra came him and tackled him.
Player Rating: 6.5
Luis Suarez
Deserved a goal for his efforts as a target man. Could have played a bit higher up the pitch for the midfielders to pick him out, but he still had a solid game.

Jordan Henderson
The game changer. Made Gerrard drop back but played the attacking midfielder role to good effect. Came close to scoring the winner towards the end on two separate occasions.
