AVB – Barcelona’s Dominance Is Coming To An End
Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas believes Barcelona’s European dominance will soon end.
The Blues chief acknowledges that the Catalan giants have been the team to beat in recent years culminating in them winning three Champions League Titles in the last six years, including beating Arsenal in 2006 and Manchester United in both the 2009 and 2011 Finals.
Villas-Boas believes Barca have been lucky with how things have transpired, citing the many players who have come through the youth set up together but insists their supremacy will soon dry up and is predicting years of trophy-less seasons lay ahead.
“These past years of Barcelona’s success has collided with a multitude of events that has provided this team with the ability to play so well.”
“The amount of talent which came through their youth teams which comes together now in the first team, a manager that defends the values of the club like nobody else…
“These past four or five years of Barcelona will be, for sure, the exception.
“Eventually, there are years of better talent (elsewhere) and years of drought.”
