Chelsea & Arsenal Alerted As £35m Playmaker Hints At Move
Mario Gotze has refused to guarantee his future lies with German club Borussia Dortmund amid speculation he is set for a move.
Chelsea and Arsenal have been monitoring the youngster, who is Germany’s highest rated youngster, and the Gunners found out first hand how talented the 18-year-old is when they met Dortmund in the Champions League in September.
Both London clubs, along with German giants Bayern Munich, have been linked with a £35m move for Gotze and the creative midfielder has failed to rule out a move is a “big club” comes in guaranteeing him Champions League football. Gotze said:
“I designed a plan with my agent, Volker Struth which stipulates that I will always play in the [Champions League]. That’s my goal and that is important to me. But no-one can predict what will happen in the coming months and years.
“It is an honour, of course, if a big club like Bayern Munich are interested me. Basically I cannot and will not rule out anything.
“I have a contract signed until June 2014 but I really do not know what can happen in the coming months. It depends on many things and I now prefer to live day by day and improve my game with the team and fight for everything.”
