Arsenal Transfer News: Powerful Midfielder & Exciting Striker Linked With Gunners
With the January transfer window just around the corner, it’s no surprise Arsenal have been linked with numerous players from around the globe.
Here we look at two of the more recent rumours involving the Gunners, with a French midfielder and a South American striker linked with a move to the Emirates.
Maxime Ganalons
Another Frenchman rumoured to be on his way to Arsenal, this time its Lyon’s defensive midfielder Maxime Ganalons. The 22-year-old is widely regarded as a rising star within Ligue 1 and was recently called up to the French national side.
Being a defensive midfielder, Ganalons is powerful and full of aggression, and at 6ft 2″ he’s certainly an imposing presence in the centre of the park. Something many Arsenal fans have been crying out for since the days of Patrick Vieira. The Frenchman is reportedly being tracked by Arsene Wenger who is lining up a £10m move.
Eduardo Vargas
Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Chilean international Eduardo Vargas. The 21-year-old plays for Universidad de Chile and is considered one of the brightest talents in South America.
Vargas is valued at about 10 million Euro’s and is also being tracked by the likes of Villareal, Fenerbache, Trabzonspor and Italian giants AC Milan, so the Gunners will face stiff competition if they decide to pursue their interest in the exciting forward.
