Manchester United’s Transfer Shortlist

By Ryan Kane.

As June comes to a close the transfer market heats up. Club’s battle it out for the signatures of big name players around the world. As always Manchester United appear to be in the thick of it all. Here is (an obviously incomplete) list of players that have been linked to Old Trafford in recent weeks. The list has been comprised through research of recent press reports, both national and international.

Ganso – Santos
Hailed as “The new Kaka”, the Santos wonder kid is reportedly being tracked by Manchester United, Manchester City and French champions Lyon.

Luis Fabiano – Sevilla
The Brazilian striker has been heavily linked to United and AC Milan after enjoying an impressive World Cup campaign thus far.

Klass Jan Huntelaar – AC Milan
Often linked with United in the past, the Dutch striker is believed to be on his way out of the San Siro this summer. Huntelaar scored in Holland’s recent win over Cameroon in the World Cup.

Sotiris Ninis – Panathinaikos
The 20 year old attacking midfielder has made six appearances for the Greek national side and is reportedly being linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer.

Jefferson Montero – Villarreal
The 23 year old is being linked with a move to United after he announced that he wanted to join fellow Ecuadorian Antonio Valencia at Old Trafford. The Villarreal midfielder is highly rated in Spain.

Giorgio Chiellini – Juventus
Chiellini is believed to be a possible replacement for Nemanja Vidic at United, should the Serbian leave Old Trafford for Real Madrid. The 25-year old Italian has also been linked with a move to Arsenal, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich. The centre-back was an instrumental part of the Italian World Cup campaign…well what there was of it.

Who would you like to see come to Old Trafford this summer?

Yeah Fabiano is the most likely considering he would be free as his contract is set to run out….. and he has said he would like to play at United so they just need to go out there and get him before Milan can make a move

Manchester United wont get any best player untill the Glazers are around. Thye want to use manutd`s profits to clear out their personal debts. They will only allow manutd to get cheap players like toscic or anderson. any player that is valuing above 10 million dollars will not come to manu.
Players that will not come to manu:
    david silva
    joe cole

just think of some more cheaper players manutd fans. Also i would like to tell u people out there that Jose Mourinho will also not come to Old Trafford as the glazers wont meet his salalry demands. even if they do they wont allow jose cash to splash on buying good players

    Keisuke Honda (japan)

Montero would be a great addition to the team. Ambitious player with flair and speed, plus seeing as he plays for the Ecuadorian international squad him and Valencia have great chemistry. Don’t overlook this player, he was about to be bought by Real Madrid, but Villareal swooped for his signature. Real Madrid and Arsenal have been scouting him recently. He has stated his desire to play alongside his hero Valencia at Man U.

I think we dont want anyone else. Chicarito has performed well in WC and can play in first team easily. Only buy I would love to see would be Ozil bt still am happy if we dont buy anyone else. Anderson is coming back and Gibson is a good player too. I hope Utd just dont buy a novice player and waste their money.
