Jack Wilshere Injury Latest – Wenger Reveals Positive News
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has given an update on Jack Wilshere’s recovery from an ankle injury and he’s hopeful to have him back before the end of the season
Morning Gooners. Arsene Wenger has given an update on Jack Wilshere’s recovery from an ankle injury today, claiming he’s hopeful to have the midfielder back before the end of the season.
Wilshere has been a huge miss for us this season and is yet to make an appearance due to his troublesome ankle injury, which he aggravated during a pre-season friendly against the New York Red Bulls.
The 20-year-old was initially only meant to be sidelined for a couple of months but the injury was worse than first feared and he was ruled out until February. And just as Jack was close to making a first team comeback, he suffered a set back and it was feared he could miss the entire season.
But Wenger is quoted by Sky Sports News today as saying the latest scan was positive and Wilshere is ready to start jogging again, and while he hopes to have Jack back before the end of the season, the boss stressed we have to be very cautious with him.
“We have good news but Jack isn’t close to a comeback,” said Wenger.
“The last scan was good and he can start to jog again so he is on the way back but we have to be very cautious with him.
“I hope to have him back before the end of the season, but we go step by step.”
It would be great to see Jack make an appearance before the end of the season but let’s make sure we only bring him back when he’s 100% fit and don’t needlessly rush him back in to action.
