Robin Van Persie vs Wayne Rooney: Let FIFA Street Settle The Debate – Review
A review of the soon to be released computer game from EA Sports; FIFA Street. Includes an overview of what you can expect from the game and a video preview
It’s finally upon us. The new FIFA Street is officially released in the UK and Europe on the 16th March and as usual, the guys from EA Sports haven’t let us down.
If like me, your a huge FIFA fan, i have a feeling your going to love this game. FIFA 12 was revolutionary in it’s gameplay and realism, and all of that and more is on show with FIFA Street. They have used the same mechanics to give us a smooth and realistic gameplay experience, but what’s different about FIFA Street is the way they integrate a sense of culture into the game through the background environments, the kits, the tricks and even the music.
However, for me, the best bit about this game is executing the flicks and tricks. When we watch players like Robin van Persie or Wayne Rooney doing their thing on the pitch every week, we often wonder what it would feel like to do it ourselves. Sadly the closest most will ever come is through computer games like FIFA Street.
Ever wondered who has more skill out of Van Persie or Rooney? Ever sat in the pub with your mates and debated over this kind of thing? It’s unlikely we’ll ever get RVP and Rooney down the local park to have a one-on-one so why not let FIFA Street settle the argument? Simply play a 1 v 1 mode and battle it out with your mate to see who comes out on top.
You could even go one step further and do a 6 vs 6 game where you can create a team that has a perfect mix of passion, flair, pace and power. Just think of a team made up of John Terry, Steven Gerrard, Nani, Gareth Bale and Robin van Persie. Stick Joe Hart in goal and you’ve got an unbeatable team!
Over 50 new tricks have been introduced, you can import your ‘Virtual Pro’ from FIFA 12 into FIFA Street, you can do ‘freestyle events’, create custom teams, unlock new tricks as you complete challenges and compete with friends online all over the globe.
If your a FIFA lover, you’ll no doubt be itching to get your hands on this. Have a look at the video above to see what FIFA Street looks like, and there are links to pre-order or download within the video player.
