Koscielny & Diaby Injury Update….
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has given an injury update today on the fitness of Laurent Koscielny and Abou Diaby ahead of tomorrow game with Queens Park Rangers
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has given an injury update today on Laurent Koscielny and Abou Diaby ahead of tomorrow game with QPR.
Koscielny was in line to start last weeks encounter against Aston Villa at the Emirates but had to pull out just before the game after waking up with pain in his knee on the morning of the game. He tried to run it off during the warm up, but the pain intensified so he was withdrawn from the match.
The initial prognosis was tendentious and it was hoped he would return for this weekends trip to Loftus Road to face Queens Park Rangers. Wenger confirmed Kos should be back for tomorrow but will undergo a late test, but he should take his place next to TV5 at the heart of the defence.
Diaby has been troubled by injury all season and was only half an hour into his first appearance this term back in February when he was forced off with another injury. He came through a reserve game last week but the boss has confirmed that the midfielder had some pain on Thursday during training so won’t be risked this weekend.
Here’s what Arsene told Arsenal.com
on Laurent Koscielny…
Normally he will back. He has a test with the team later today. But he had one yesterday and it looks positive. It is 90 per cent yes. So at QPR it should be the same squad.
on Abou Diaby…
There was a little pain in training yesterday so we will not expose him. It is nothing serious, we are just being cautious.
