Agent: Juventus Have Signed Contract With Van Persie
Italian-based agent Fabio Parisi has claimed that Serie A champions Juventus have already tied up a deal to sign Arsenal striker Robin van Persie this summer
With the summer transfer window in full swing, Football Talk will be keeping you up-to-date with all the latest transfer news throughout the summer. Today, an agent has suggested van Persie has already agreed to join Juventus.
Despite the Premier League season starting in little over 2 weeks time, the Robin van Persie transfer saga is still dragging on and doesn’t seem like ending any time soon. Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus continue to compete for the Dutchman’s signature, while Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger maintains he wants his captain to stay at the Emirates.
However, FIFA agent Fabio Parisi has come out and made a bold statement, claiming that Italian champions Juventus have already tied up a deal to sign the 30-goal striker, according to the Daily Mail.
Parisi, who is a Milan-based agent, told Italian TV that he thinks Juve have had a contract signed with RVP for some time and the Holland ace is the perfect signing for the Serie A giants:
‘I think Juventus have had a signed contract with Van Persie for some time locked away in a notary’s desk.
‘It is just my opinion, but I think there’s an eight out of 10 chance the Dutchman will join the Bianconeri.
‘Juventus want to win and he is considered the ideal addition to achieve that. I don’t think Edin Dzeko is the right player for the Bianconeri.’
Parisi is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail
These claims have no substance at all and it’s likely nothing more than the opinion of one Italian agent, but it comes after reports on Wednesday claimed Juve were now firm favourites to land the player after it was revealed they were ready to pay Arsenal £20m and offer RVP a five-year deal worth £190,000-a-week after tax contract.
