Barcelona midfielder Ibrahim Afellay is set to leave the club on loan this summer with Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham interested in signing him, according to the Metro.
The Dutchman has endured a difficult time at the Nou Camp since joining the club from PSV, making only a handful of starts during an injury-plagued 18 months in Spain.
The attacker was expecting to feature on a more regular basis this season after finally getting himself back to full fitness. However, the 26-year-old has been told he’s not in new boss Tito Vilanova’s first team plans and is free to leave the club on loan this summer.
The Metro claim Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool are interested in signing him and the players agent, Rob Jansen, has confirmed his client will secure a loan move this week and has concrete interest from England.

Barcelona are expected to ask for a loan fee of anything up to £4m for Afellay, who is keen to go on loan to show Vilanova what he’s capable of in the hope of resurrecting his career at the Nou Camp.
