Fabregas Rules Out Move
Ex-Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has moved to defuse speculation linking him with a move away from the Nou Camp insisting he wants to end his career at Barca
Despite the transfer window being closed, there is always transfer gossip doing the rounds in the papers and we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest news during the coming months. Today, Cesc Fabregas has ruled out leaving Barcelona.
Cesc Fabregas has moved to defuse speculation linking him with a move away from Barcelona insisting he wants to end his career at the Nou Camp, according to the Daily Mail.
The former Arsenal captain sealed a dream move back to his boyhood club last summer in a £35m deal but things haven’t gone as smoothly as he would have liked.
The 25-year-old has been forced to play second-fiddle to Xavi and Iniesta and has struggled to cement a regular first team place.
He was substituted after just 63 minutes of last Sunday’s 1-0 win over Valencia and the Spanish international made it clear that he doesn’t enjoy his bit-part role at the club:
‘There’s no such thing as a great substitute in the world of football.
‘I always wish my team-mates well and put a happy face on. If I have to take my unhappy face home then so be it, but I would never let my team-mates or manager see it.’

These comments prompted speculation that he could be tempted with a move away from Barcelona, and a potential return to Arsenal was suggested.
However, Fabregas has claimed the situation has been blown of of proportion and dismissed the idea of him leaving the Nou Camp.
‘This whole situation is exaggerated,’ he told Catalunya Radio. ‘I am happy. I am at the club I wanted to be at for many years. Currently I am very calm.
‘I’m doing my job and working as anyone else to make life difficult for my coach (to leave me out).
‘I want to retire at the Camp Nou.’
