Ashley Cole Labels Tottenham Fans ‘Spuds’ In Latest Twitter Rant
Ashley Cole has risked getting himself in hot water once again after aiming a dig at Tottenham supporters after Chelsea’s 4-2 win at White Hart Lane on Saturday
Ashley Cole has once again taken to Twitter after aiming a dig at Tottenham supporters following Chelsea’s 4-2 win at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea came from 2-1 down to beat Spurs 4-2 and it didn’t take Cole long to take to Twitter and hit back at the home supporters. The 31-year-old suggested he had received abuse following the game and fired back labelling Tottenham fans as ‘Spuds’ before appearing to call White Hart Lane ‘hell’, claiming he couldn’t wait to go back.
Cole already has a frosty relationship with the White Hart Lane faithful, partly due to the fact he used to play for their fierce rivals Arsenal, but that hatred has continued during his years with Chelsea and this tweet is unlikely to ease the tensions.
His latest controversial tweet comes just days after being fined £90k for calling the FA ‘tw*t’s’ on the popular social networking site.
