Midfielder Responds To Reports Linking Him With Move
Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has moved to clear up his future at the Emirates, revealing he’s due to go on loan this week before returning to the club
Despite the transfer window being closed, there is always transfer gossip doing the rounds in the papers and we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest news during the coming months. Today, more on Emmanuel Frimpong’s future.
Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has moved to clear up his immediate future at the club, revealing he’s due to go on loan this week.
The 20-year-old was responding to reports suggesting he was set to be sold in January. The speculation claimed the midfielder had less than 12 months to run on his current contract and boss Arsene Wenger had decided against offering him a new deal, and would instead cash in when the window reopens.
However, Frimpong has taken to Twitter to deny these reports, insisting he’s not in the final year of his contract and is due to go out on loan this week before returning to north London. He ‘Tweeted’:
“Subject to rumours am not leaving afc I am positive of going on loan this week which am really excited about and I am fully committed to afc. (sic)
“And am not in my last year or looking to be sold just to clear matters thank you and going on loan to get games and come back to arsenal.”

I’m happy Frimmy has cleared things up and it seems he’s set to stay at the club until at least next summer. Hopefully he can have a successful loan move this season and come back to Arsenal and make a real push for a first team spot next season.
Two serious knee injuries have really hampered his progress so far in his career but he’s certainly a talented lad, and is a true Gooner who’s been with Arsenal since he was 9 years old, you can’t have too many like him in the squad.
