Agent Confirms Liverpool Target Set To Leave As Reds Linked With £19m Bid
The agent of Liverpool target Arda Turan has confirmed the winger will leave Atletico Madrid in the summer with the Reds understood to be lining up a £19m bid.
Despite the transfer window now being closed there will still be plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers, so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Liverpool are linked with Arda Turan.
The agent of Liverpool target Arda Turan has confirmed the winger will leave Atletico Madrid in the summer with the Reds understood to be lining up a £19million bid, according to the Metro.
The report claims the Turkish international was linked with a move to Liverpool and German giants Bayern Munich during the January window but he ended up staying with Madrid despite the heavy interest.
However, the Metro cite reports from Spain that suggest Brendan Rodgers will reignite his interest at the end of the season with the Northern Irishman understood to be preparing a £19million offer for the 26-year-old attacker.
Turan moved to Atletico from Galatasaray in 2011 and has been a huge hit in La Liga but his agent, Ahmet Bulut, claims his client is set to move on in the summer but refused to say which club he has his eye on. Bulut said:
‘Arda has played at Atletico Madrid for two seasons now. I have wanted to see him play for another team in another league and Arda wants the same.
‘I can’t say the league or you’ll know exactly who I’m talking about but let’s just put it like this, there are only five to six clubs which could afford Arda right now and he’s going to join one of these five clubs.’ Bulut is quoted as saying by the Metro

Turan has represented Turkey at every international level and has already racked up over 60 appearances for the national team. But after scoring 9 goals and provided an impressive 19 assists in his 64 games for Atletico, it seems he’s ready for a new challenge with Liverpool said to be in the running.
Although, if Turan’s agent is accurate, only five or six clubs could afford him and would you put Liverpool in that bracket? I certainly wouldn’t, so the Reds may find themselves priced out of a move.
